Scott was born in El Paso, Texas
and grew up with an accomplished pianist for a mother and salsa in his
baby bottle. He spent some childhood years north of the Red River but
formed his first band in high school in College Station, Texas. His
love of punk, power rock, rockabilly and true country blended to a create
an edgy, grounded flavor of music for his own compositions.
After brief L.A. and Ohio job searches, he moved back to Dallas in 1989
to make it home and become one of the best lighting designers in Texas.
Now that he has his own "lighting band", he's back in the
music scene.
Scott's had his own original rock bands in many forms, punk rockabilly,
power pop and roots rock. His own songwriting, singing and guitar
work made him fit easily into the DLR family.
